Books I Like

I have been known to pick up what some would refer to as "literature" - you know, like an Oprah's Book Club selection. These days, I try to mix it up and throw in some easier and lighter reads. I've been known to dabble in the YA, paranormal and romance genres. This is a no judgment zone. If you click a book cover below, it will link you to Amazon for purchase.

The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay is a book that I have reread numerous times. It is poignant and makes you feel like you know these characters personally. The publisher's description captures it best, "rich, intense, and brilliantly imagined story about a lonely boy, an emotionally fragile girl, and the miracle of second chances." I couldn't have said it better. I rated it five stars on Goodreads.

This is another one I have reread a few times -- Kulti by Mariana Zapata. The dialogue is hilarious at times between the two main characters. There are some ups and downs so it isn't entirely a barrel of laughs but it is definitely worth a read. I like Mariana Zapata's books but I think this is my favorite. It got four stars from me on Goodreads.
