We’ve got a hammock in the backyard and I find I get like Jack Handy and it inspires deep thoughts. If you don’t know who Jack Handy is - get off my lawn, millennial! Sometimes the thoughts aren’t deep but simply meanderings on family life, pop culture, midlife, cooking, lifestyle trends, weight loss, travel, books, politics and more. Pull up a hammock -- you must have your own, I only share with our Boston Terrier JJ Watt Schoenberg -- and enjoy my hammock thoughts.

About the Jersey Girl

Tracy grew up in Teaneck and graduated from Rutgers College (and SCILS) with a degree in journalism and political science. She knows that it is the School of Arts & Sciences now but it was a big deal to get into Rutgers College back in the Stone Age so she's leaving it as written.

She earned a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She was a journalist for many years, working for the Today Show, NBC News Specials, Newschannel 4, Patch (New Milford) and freelanced for many local publications. She also taught journalism at Ramapo College and the College of Mt. St. Vincent/Manhattan College. She spent five years working for the association that shall not be named as her departure is still fresh -- she did communications and government affairs for them.

She's been a councilwoman for the Borough of Oradell for seven years and the Council President for six years. She and her incredibly tolerant husband Matt have three kids - Eve, Loyola University Maryland Class of '22, David, a junior at Clemson & Marisa who is entering her senior year in high school. Her fourth child is the infamous JJ Watt who has his own Instagram account. Follow him at JJ_the_Terrier.
